A printing label has three main components:

Face material/front part

In-Mould Labels

A polypropylene label is heated and placed in a mould that has the shape of the final product. You have to do this before the actual container has is made.   1. Blow-moulding- the plastic is blown into the mould and fuses together with the label in the desired shape. Used for hollow containers or bottles
  2. Injection moulding- heated PP is injected into the mould. It is mostly used for small containers like ice cream and butter tubs.
  3. Thermoforming- a thermoplastic sheet is heated and inserted into a mould with the printed label.
